Exploring Connection – A Workshop for Couples
Give yourself an opportunity to connect with your partner on a different level. Often, relationships fall into auto-pilot mode. Couples get busy juggling the responsibilities of adult life, daily interactions can be colored by built-up resentment, and a negative pattern of interaction can take over. In this workshop, you and your partner will be invited to use mindfulness practices to explore your internal landscapes around connection. Through techniques grounded in somatic awareness, you’ll gain new insights and reconnect with both your partner and yourself.
This one-day, in-person workshop, is comprised of presentations and guided activities led by certified Hakomi teachers Liz Hunter, LMFT, and Kris Cook, LMHC, who will be available to offer support and feedback. Kris and Liz, both practicing Hakomi couples therapists, bring their wealth of experience in using experiential techniques with couples. The event will begin at 10:00 am and end at 3:30 pm on each scheduled day. Eligible attendees will receive 4 CEUs. Prior Hakomi experience is not a prerequisite.
