From infancy through old age, we thrive on connection, created in large part by the quality and intent of our communication. The poet David Whyte invites us to “Put down the weight of your own aloneness and ease into the conversation.” The nourishing communication workshop is an invitation to explore and perhaps adjust our habitual ways of offering and receiving communication.

Nourishing communication fills us up and sustains us. Feeling deeply seen and accepted is a foundational need, knowing that we also strive to give that experience to others. This workshop will include recent research on the brain and attachment theory.

The workshop is comprised of short presentations alternating with exercises (done solo, one-on-one, or as a group), and is presented in a step-by-step format, allowing plenty of time to take in the material. Hakomi certified teachers are present during each session and offer direction and feedback in a manner consistent with Hakomi.

Teachers and trainers at this event are: Lynn Morrison, MA, CHT, certified Hakomi therapist and senior trainer; and Dennis Gaither, MD, OMC, certified Hakomi therapist and senior trainer.

Bring a notebook and pen if you like to take notes and a sack lunch (unless you prefer to go out). The lunch break is 1½ hours.

You’ll take home a new practice, an expanded skill set, and access to new levels of connection, mindfulness, relationship with others, and self awareness.

Contact Dennis at 360-336-9509 or email him at dwgaither@yahoo.com with questions. Tuition is nonrefundable except at registrar discretion; tuition may be transferable.
